Classrooms have turned into labs and rote learning has become a thing of the past. Experiential learning is the mission of schools now. The pattern of questions and evaluation system too has undergone a change. Examinations are no more a nightmare for the students, rather it has turned into fun-filled activities. Skills and competencies are the buzzes words parameters of assessments in CBSE affiliated schools under the New Education Policy 2021. The curricular and pedagogical structure of 10+2 has been replaced by 5+3+3+4 with the termination of the class 10 Board Examination. There will be only one Board Examination in Class 12. The curriculum has been reduced to the core essentials. The primary focus for holistic education shall be on critical thinking, inquiry, discovery, discussion, and analysis. Teachings will be interactive and encouragement of questions from the students will be for the total participation and for satisfying inquisitiveness. Textbook learning dependency will be reduced to pave the way to experience the concepts.

The Covid -19 pandemic has posed a big challenge as the physical classrooms have been substituted by online classrooms. Online teachings have been the biggest challenge for teachers as there is a restriction on time and face to face interactions. However, each crisis is an opportunity to create. We have been successful in making online classes effective with strategic teaching integrated with activities and individual interactions. We are thankful to the parents for extending their helping hands throughout this pandemic year.
