CBSE Launches “Jal Pakhwada 2026” to Promote Water Conservation in Schools !

This is to inform you that with reference to circular no.22/3026, the CBSE has launched an initiative titled “Jal Pakhwada 2026” (Water Conservation) to be observed from 16th April to 30th April 2026. This initiative is a part of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, aimed at promoting water conservation and rainwater harvesting practices in schools across India.

In this regard, the school will conduct a daily “Jal Shapath” (Water Pledge) and organize various activities starting from 20th April 2026.

The activities include:

-Jal Shapath (Water Pledge) during the morning assembly (to be administered daily to all students and staff)
-Essay Writing Competition
-Quiz Competition
-Painting Competition
-Slogan Writing
-Poster Making
(All based on the theme of water conservation)

The concerned teachers will provide further details regarding the competitions.

All of you are expected to participate actively and contribute towards conserving this precious resource.
